Hippity Hop - This chart was created to be used with Conversational Solfege Unit 3.  There are four chart pages included.  After the students learned the rhyme aurally/orally I gave them rhythm cards that I had made (barber shop pole with ta, ta-da and ta-ki-da rhythms embedded).

Page 1 - Rhyme with Recording

Page 2 - They decoded the rhythm for the rhyme and then took turns coming up and moving the notes from the bottom of the chart to match the words.

Page 3 - I have the kids create ostinato patterns based on candy stick flavors.  After creating the ostinato patterns we used them to perform the piece.

Page 4 - We used this page to create a melody to this rhyme.  I embed Unit 4 all the way through Unit 1-3 so had them create with Mi - Re- Do.
